ECAR New Cart Warranty Policy

CARTS’N’PARTS AUSTRALIA (“Company”) and ECAR Golf (“Manufacturer”) hereby warrants that any new ECAR golf cart purchased from Carts’n’Parts Australia or any authorised ECAR dealer will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period as stated below from the date of delivery, subject to the stated limitations & exclusions contained in this warranty policy.

By purchasing an ECAR Golf Cart, customers agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this New Cart Warranty Policy.

  1. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase and applies only to the original purchaser of the ECAR Golf Cart unless a valid warranty transfer takes place (see item 7).
  2. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and failures under normal usage conditions. It does not cover damages resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorised modifications.
  3. The company or the manufacturer reserves the right to inspect and assess any warranty claims to determine the validity of the claim.
  4. Repairs or replacements under warranty will be carried out by the company or an authorised ECAR repairer using genuine ECAR parts.
  5. Any modifications or repairs performed by unauthorised personnel may void the warranty.
  6. ECAR Golf and its authorised dealers reserve the right to repair, replace or refund as they best see fit to rectify any claim made. The solution will be mechanically and/or electrically correct upon completion, and any works completed shall be of sound quality.
  7. The New Cart Warranty is transferable and applies only to the original vehicle purchased from the company. The original owner has 14 days to notify the dealer of the sale of the cart and to request that the warranty be recorded as a name change. A full documented cart service is required to be conducted prior to any warranty transfer taking place. This is to ensure the golf cart is in good working order before the new owner obtains the balance of the New Cart Warranty.

Period of Warranty

Residential/Personal Use

  • Chassis:

    • 7 years on Cart Chassis for Magnum Series Models

    • 5 years on Cart Chassis for all other Models

  • Battery System:

    • 5 years unlimited kilometre warranty on PRO-Li Lithium Battery

    • 3 years on Lithium Battery Charger

  • Other Components:

    • 3 years on Cart Electrical & Mechanical

    • 2 years on Seats and Seat Cushions

    • 2 years in Windshields

    • 1 year on Rear Golf Bag Canopies

    • 1 year on Rain Curtains

    • 1 year on all other Accessories installed on the cart at the time of sale

Commercial Use

  • Chassis:

    • 7 years on Cart Chassis for Magnum Series Models

    • 5 years on Cart Chassis for all other Models

  • Battery System:

    • 5 years unlimited kilometre warranty on PRO-Li Lithium Battery

    • 3 years on Lithium Battery Charger

  • Other Components:

    • 3 years on Cart Electrical & Mechanical

    • 2 years on Seats and Seat Cushions

    • 2 years in Windshields

    • 1 year on Rear Golf Bag Canopies

    • 1 year on Rain Curtains

    • 1 year on all other Accessories installed on the cart at the time of sale

During the period of warranty stated above any authorised ECAR Dealer/repairer will, free of charge and at the manufacturers determination, repair or replace any part adjudged defective by the Authorised Dealer due to faulty workmanship or material failure. Parts used in warranty repairs will be warranted for the balance of the golf carts new cart warranty period.

It shall be deemed VOID of the above warranty should the inclusion of any failures of cart parts and components be caused by:

  • Abnormal strain, neglect, or abuse including lack of proper maintenance or use contrary to the Owner / Operator Manual instructions.
  • Accident or collision damage.
  • Installation of parts or accessories that are not original equipment.
  • Installation of any parts or accessories not done by an authorised ECAR dealer.
  • Fading, rust or deterioration due to excessive exposure or over ordinary wear and tear.
  • ‘Wearable items’ such as tyres.
  • Modifications or alteration that affects the cart’s condition, operation, purpose or durability.
  • Damage due to improper transportation.
  • Acts of God, i.e. lightening, hail damage, flood, fire, etc.

Your responsibility under this warranty shall be to perform the following as a part of the ownership of an electric cart. If the following is not proven at time of claim then the above warranty shall be deemed VOID:

  • Operate and maintain the golf cart as specified in the appropriate Owner’s / Operator’s manuals and all relevant Battery Care User Guide documents provided to you upon sale.
  • Give notice to an authorised ECAR dealer of any and all apparent defects within fourteen (14) days after discovery, and make the cart available at that time for inspection and repairs by an ECAR authorised representative or an approved technician.

This Warranty Policy is effective from January 2026 for Australia and New Zealand. Each version of the Warranty Policy applies exclusively to products supplied during the period in which that version was in effect. Subsequent revisions do not supersede, amend, or replace warranty terms applicable to products supplied prior to their effective date.

Tomberlin New Cart Warranty Policy

All Warranty claims shall only be made by calling 1300 93 88 11 or by email: info@cartsnparts.com.au and attempts to make warranty claims direct with Tomberlin USA will not be actioned accordingly and you will be re-directed to the Australian authorised supplier, Carts’n’Parts Australia.

Tomberlin is part of the Columbia Vehicle Group, Inc. in the United States of America, which provides a consumer-oriented warranty plan that is supported by Carts’n’Parts Australia as the direct and national supplier of these carts in Australia. Your satisfaction is our primary goal. As such, the Tomberlin 5-Year Factory Warranty is simplified to enhance clarity and understanding of what is and is not covered by Tomberlin. 

The key to a positive ownership experience includes the recognition of the role the owner has in assuring correct maintenance and care are properly followed. In fact, incorrect care, improper care, or neglect of maintenance can void this warranty. The terms and conditions of this limited warranty are not limited to but summarised and listed below. New Cart Warranty Information provided by Carts’n’Parts Australia in accordance with the Tomberlin Policy

CARTS’N’PARTS AUSTRALIA (“Company”) and Columbia Vehicle Group, Inc. hereby warrants that any new Tomberlin golf cart purchased from Carts’n’Parts Australia will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the below under normal use and service for the period as stated below from the date of purchase defined on your tax invoice, subject to the stated limitations & exclusions contained in this warranty policy.

Owners Responsibility: 

The limited warranty period is dependent upon adherence to proper care and maintenance. As such, it is the responsibility of the owner to operate and properly maintain their Tomberlin product by following the guidelines, instructions, and recommended maintenance programs and schedules in the Owner’s Manual—including those detailed in this document. Unfortunately, we have experienced many examples of improper care and maintenance—some of which can result in component damage, fire, accidents, injury, and death. 

Examples include: 

  • Manipulating controllers for more speed or torque. 
  • Installing stereos and electronics that are spliced into the wrong wires. 
  • Installing the wrong size or brand of batteries. 
  • Using inappropriate and unsafe condition extension cords to charge the vehicle causing in short circuit or increased current draw. 
  • Modifying or raising the centre of gravity that is not factory designed and installed.
  • Installing the incorrect size tires, wheels, or lift kits. 
  • Installing aftermarket light kits, trailer hitches, cargo beds, and other accessories.
  • Improper long-term storage or long periods of no use.

If an owner is ever unsure of the proper care and maintenance for their Tomberlin Golf Cart, they are to contact Carts’n’Parts Australia. You will then be given advise and copies of any documentation that may help answer any and all of your questions.

PERIOD OF NEW CART WARRANTY:

This Limited Warranty, as it pertains to specific covered components, will range from 6 to 60 months as detailed below, subject to the restrictions mentioned throughout the document accessible by clicking the download link at the bottom of this page. First and foremost, this is a 100% consumer/personal use limited warranty. Any commercial use will void the consumer limited warranty. Tomberlin offers commercial limited warranty coverage. Approvals will apply so please contact us for details and clarification on all commercial use circumstances.

CONSUMER WARRANTY PERIOD & MODELS: The following warranty periods are subject to exclusions detailed in this document.

Properly maintained components covered under this Limited Warranty for the period in the corresponding left column include:

Five Years

Steering wheel, steering column, front and rear body deformation (excludes paint, cracks, spills, and contact damage), upper structure welds, *A-arms, *front spindles, rear swing arms, brake caliper deformation, stainless steel hardware, frame, steel upper frame brace component welds, hip restraint, wheels. *Note: Non-OEM wheels will void this coverage.

Three Years

Properly maintained battery cables (no corrosion), shocks and coil springs breakage, front wheel hub, steering gear rack and grease Zerk fittings.

Two Years

Motor, motor brake, controller, on-board smart charger, switch housing, seat hinges, master cylinder, DC to DC converter, steel brake line and front brake disc, rear drum, transaxle assembly, accelerator pedal, brake pedal assembly, headlight assembly (not the bulb), bushings, primary wire harness breakage (not due to water), switches including turn signal stalk.

One Year

Standard consumer coverage period
unless components are otherwise listed above or below.

Tie-rods, power steering, and all other items and components not mentioned above or specifically excluded as noted below. Excluded items include front and rear bumpers, dash, windshields, and any damage due to impact from foreign objects, vandalism, or accidents to include shipping damage which is covered by the carrier subject to certain notification requirements.

Six Months

Seat coverings, body finishes, and Tomberlin accessories installed at the factory or properly installed by a Tomberlin authorized dealer. Canopies, headliners, floor mats, electrical connections, components including audio systems, sensors, solenoid, trim, decals, and switch connections.

90 Days

Elite Enclosures 

Batteries & Tyres

Battery Warranty is held by Battery Manufacturer. Tyre Warranty provided by the tyre manufacturer.

Ascent Lithium Batteries (Available in SS, Ghosthawk, Beachcomber and Defender model carts)

  • 5 Year Warranty on the Lithium Battery
  • 2 Year Warranty on the on-board Lithium Charger

Lithium Golf Batteries (Only available in the Revenge Model Carts)

  • 5 Years on the Battery and the Charger
 

DURING THE PERIOD OF WARRANTY stated above, any authorised Tomberlin Dealer will, free of charge and at the manufacturers determination, repair or replace any part adjudged defective by the Authorised Dealer due to faulty workmanship or material failure.
Parts used in warranty repairs will be warranted for the balance of the golf carts warranty period
